Safe and secure foods - the 'Hokkaido Brand'
Hokkaido is continuing to move forward in the development of 'Hokkaido Brand foods'; food products that are safe, secure and in which consumers have great confidence.
The Registration System of Hokkaido's Local Products allows for food products that are grown and processed in Hokkaido to be sold with the 'Food Product of Hokkaido' mark affixed.
Under The Certification System of Hokkaido's Local Products, those 'Food Product of Hokkaido' goods that meet stringent regulations relating not only to manufacturing process but also to taste, are awarded the 'Kirarippu' mark, and are able to be sold displaying this distinguishing symbol.
